Meadowlark Nature Festival is a five-day, multi-disciplinary festival featuring more than 70 guided tours that take participants from Canada’s unique desert in the South Okanagan, to the alpine meadows high above the Okanagan and Similkameen valleys. Meadowlark tours include hiking, cycling, canoeing, art walks, film screenings, indigenous cultural events, bird watching, back-country horseback riding, geological tours, astronomy events, art exhibitions, photography, writing and painting workshops, children’s programming and more – all designed to be entertaining, interactive and informative.

2015 Featured Artist – Bethany Handfield
Meadowlark Nature Festival is pleased to announce award-winning painter and teacher, Bethany Handfield as our 2015 Featured Artist. Recipient of the Thea Haubrich Award of Excellence and two-time nominee for Arts Educator at Penticton Art Awards, Bethany primarily works with mixed media and encaustic. We are proud to showcase her piece entitled, Meadowlarking, in this year’s promotional material including our poster, advertisements, t-shirts and on the cover of our program guide.
